Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you all are having a great week. I just wanted to pop on over here to give you some more details about the floral romper I teased this morning on my Instagram and Facebook pages. Fair warning, this one is not under $50 like the rompers I linked to in my post from last week. BUT I did find some dupes, so just hang tight.
Just to remind you, I’m talking about this beauty from Nordstrom…
During the warmer months I pretty much live in maxi dresses and rompers, so this hybrid style (they call it a maxi romper or romper dress) has naturally stolen my heart. You can go for a more festival vibe with strappy sandals and a flower crown (maybe even a denim jacket if it gets cool?), or you can dress it up a bit with matching wedges and simple jewelry like I did.
Side Note: The wedges I’m wearing are SO COMFORTABLE. The are from DSW, are under $60, and they also come in blush!
Based on my measurements the sizing chart on the Nordstrom website suggested I get this in a size small. Personally, I felt the bottom was a bit baggy on me, so I think I could have pulled off the XS. The straps are adjustable, but I have them pulled as tight as they can go. It’s not so big that I feel like I have to send it back, but if you’re between sizes like me, I would recommend sizing down.
retails for $89, which I didn’t think was bad because I know I’ll wear it often and it will wash well (I’ll go into my shopping logic – when I’ll splurge and when I won’t – another day). If that price is too high for you, though, make sure you have multiple wears in mind before making the investment. I don’t want anyone going broke for the sake of fashion. That said, you might want to take a look at this one from
American Eagle, or this one from
Forever 21. Both are similar in concept, but won’t break your budget! I think this one from
Francesca’s is fabulous as well. I actually ordered it for myself, but it was too low cut – in the front and in the back – to make it work with a bra. I can’t do that, haha.
Before I let you all go, I just wanted to say thank you to all who have shown support for my new blog setup and concept. The DMs, texts and emails mean more to me than you know. Keep them coming, and please, tell me what you’d like to see more of! You can contact me here
to throw ideas my way. I’ll do my best to respond directly or via a post.
Until next time! Xo
